Providing Open Standards to Help Secure Global Supply Chains and Accreditation Programs to Identify Open Trusted Technology Providers

The Open Group Trusted Technology Forum (OTTF) leads the development of a global supply chain security program in order to provide buyers of IT products with a choice of accredited technology partners and suppliers.  The OTTF  published version 1.0 of the standard in April 2013 and published v1.1 of  The Open Group Trusted Technology Provider™ Standard - Mitigating Maliciously Tainted and Counterfeit Products V1.1  (O-TTPS) in July, 2014.

The O-TTPS is an open standard containing a set of organizational guidelines, requirements, and recommendations for technology poviders to enhance the security of global supply chains and the integrity of commercial off the shelf (COTS) information and communication technology (ICT). This standard if properly adhered to will help assure against maliciously tainted and counterfeit products throughout the COTS ICT product life cycle encompassing the following phases: design, sourcing, build, fulfillment, distribution, sustainment, and disposal.

The O-TTPS Accreditation Program was launched in February 2014. The program enables COTS ICT technology providers, which includes OEMs: product providers or hardware or software component suppliers, integrators or value-add resellers, distributors or non-value-add resellers) who conforms to the standard to be accredited - positioning them on the pubic accreditation registry so they can be identified as an Open Trusted Technology Provider™.  For more details on the O-TTPS Accrediation Program or to apply for accrediation please go to this site:

A brief overview of the OTTF objectives and deliverables is provided in the 2-page OTTF Information Sheet.
