Ian Betts is General Manager of Information and Digital Technology for Open Data Platforms at Shell and has 25 years’ experience across Finance, Digital and Technology domains. He is a data and digital leader with a sharp ability to identify opportunities and mobilize people to co-create win-win solutions.
His passion for data and digital comes from the power of data to drive integration, innovation, and actionable insights to support decision making. Ian represents Shell in the OSDU Forum, where he currently holds a Management Committee Operator seat and the Management Committee Chair position.
Having lived in Asia Pacific, North America, Europe, and India Ian enjoys collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds. He is married with two children and enjoys cycling, rock climbing, and travel.
